The Challenge
A narrow gutter, filled with sand and dirt. Plenty of leaks.
The gutter: in such a bad condition.
Dirt, plastic, garbage.
The excess over-hang had to be removed to access the gutter.
Once the dirt was removed, the corrosion damage became visible.
Many sections of the gutter had been eaten away from corrosion.
The original contractor hadn't installed a down-spout.
A new down-spout and a new down-pipe were installed.
There was no possibility of replacing the gutter. The damaged sections of the gutter were removed and a 0.7mm Aluminium Sheet pieces were fixed with rivets. A PU sealant sealed the joints.
A new Aluminium shee installed to replace badly rotten gutter sheets, new down-spout installed too.
A zinc rich Epoxy Primer was applied.
Eka-Coat 100% Pure Polyurea was sprayed at 3mm DFT
Eka-Coat 100% Pure Polyurea was sprayed at 3mm DFT
Eka-Coat Aliphatic Polyurethane Top Coat was rolled
The Damaged Gutter now is a working gutter. No Leaks.
